All Things Nice is a UAL third year film that I have freelanced for twice this year.
Febuary
I have been asked to help production design assistant. This means i’m going to be helping with sourcing and making materials that will be used as background and props for the film. I’ve always wanted to help set dress so i’m really excited about assisting.
Location one:
We transformed a church into a valentines themed school dance. I helped make the posters and the hearts. I thought we would have a while to put everything up considering we got there at 10 and filming didn’t start till 11. I quickly learnt that set dressing takes longer than expected. Luckily we only went 30mins over time and shooting went smoothly the rest of the day.
Location two:
This location was a bedroom that we were tasked to fit the more ‘whimsical’ character. I used a lot of objects from my own room including the lamp above. We had to find alternatives for posters as there are strict copyright rules when it comes to film. This is how we transformed the bedroom wall.

I have been asked to make film posters for the movie that will be printed in A0!
This is the inspiration i’ve been sent
I have been experimenting with using Adobe illustrator to create texts and I really want to try it out with these posters.
Unfortunately the images they sent me were taken on a low res camera so i’m going to have to add lots of grain to make up for it and the fact that it’s being printed in large scale.
